Writing a book with AI

Update: 12/23/2023

Thanks to technological developments in recent years, it has become easier and easier to write your own book. Digital printing makes it possible to print a book in a run of just one copy at low cost. This has made it easier and easier to publish books.
If it weren't for the tedious work of writing a book. Every man and woman wants to be a book author, but few actually sit down and put something on paper.

Now, with the help of artificial intelligence and useful AI tools, the threshold has been lowered even further.

Whether you want to write a novel, a technical book, or your autobiography, it has never been easier to get started and finish successfully.

I'll explain exactly how it works in this article.

Writing an autobiography

Many people who look back on a fulfilling and more or less exciting life want to record it for posterity. What could be more obvious than documenting your experiences and putting them into book form? This is how you do it:

  1. AI can help you create a rigorous structure or table of contents for a book of your life experiences and years.
  2. Then you can ask an AI tool, such as ChatGPT, to ask you questions. These questions are then simply answered by you in turn and recorded on tape.
  3. The audio files of your answers are uploaded to an AI, and finely polished sentences are created from these colloquial anecdotes.
  4. Now all you have to do is go through this raw manuscript and correct the subtleties.
  5. The time savings are enormous. And the AI didn't invent anything, because you fed it your knowledge.

Writing a novel

If you've ever wanted to write a novel, I might have some useful tips and tools for you. The difficulty with a long story with fleshed-out characters is that the AIs often forget the beginning of the story, start hallucinating, and then have nothing to do with the beginning at the end of the novel.

To avoid this, it's a good idea to develop a so-called storyboard, something you may be familiar with from the movie industry. this involves defining the characters and determining the individual scenes of the movie or, in your case, the novel. this gives you a "script" with the individual scenes and you work your way forward scene by scene. This has the positive effect of making the novel read much more consistently.
